Reverend Iris F. Perkins

Evangelist

Rev. Evangelist Iris F. Perkins preaches and teaches the word of God in such a practical way that anyone can understand the plan of salvation. As an ordained minister at Shalom Baptist Church, Newport News, VA, she serves as the Evangelism Coordinator and advisor to several ministries.

She served as the Assistant Secretary of the Young Pastors’/Ministers’ Department for over three years for the Virginia Baptist State Convention. Rev. Perkins had a weekly radio ministry, WOOW 1340 AM, entitled “Salvation & Deliverance” that reached thousands of souls in the North Carolina area with astounding results. She has participated as a radio personality for 94.1 FM and selected to be on a television promo for Christian Broadcast Network, (CBN), Virginia Beach, VA.

Rev. Perkins has served as preacher/facilitator for countless services, conferences, revivals, worship & praise workshops and retreats; June 2005 she published her first book entitled, Deliver Me From… and currently working on her second book which will help to train leaders in the body of Christ. She is also the Executive Director of Iris Perkins Ministries, Inc. (IPM), which caters to the inner healing of women, young adults and children.

This talented minister is a pianist/organist and an accomplished recording soloist and is the founder of a network for women ministers called “K-WAN” Kingdom Women’s Alliance Network to develop the marketplace creativity that lies within. She is also the owner of DP Rochelle, a thriving International Internet Store marketing fashionable purses and handbags for women. Rev. Perkins will be featured with her doctoral studies class on the cover of the Believer’s Voice of Victory Magazine in the August 2011 edition for Kenneth Copeland Ministries, that is located in Ft Worth, TX.

Her degrees include an ASB in Business Management, Penn Foster College, Scranton, PA; a BS in Business Administration, cum laude and a MBA concentrating in Public Administration, Columbia Southern University, Orange Beach, AL, a MA in Practical Theology & Interdisciplinary Studies, Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. Rev. Perkins is also certified as an instructor in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, by Christian International, Santa Rosa Beach, FL. She is currently enrolled at United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH, to work on her doctoral studies and plans to pursue a Juris Doctorate in Law thereafter.

She is married to Rev. Dr. Derrick Perkins, Sr., Pastor of Shalom Baptist Church. They have two children, Derrick, Jr., and Aegious Simone’.
